The Wide Opening PanaVise is a work-holding tool bundle designed for holding larger, heavier objects. The tool features a head that opens up to 6", removable neoprene jaw pads and the PanaVise standard base. The standard base is compatible with additional vise head options, base mounts and features the PanaVise "split-ball" design. This "split-ball" utilizes a single-knob control for head movement through three separate planes (tilt, turn and rotate).
The General Purpose Work-Holding Tool
The Wide Opening PanaVise is a work-holding tool made up of two PanaVise components: a wide opening vise head and a standard base. The vise head is 11" (279.4 mm) in length and opens up to 6" (152.4 mm) with removeable neoprene jaw pads. The body of the vise head has a black oxide coating to reduce glare from overhead work lights. The included 1-7/8" (47.625 mm) neoprene jaw pads are reversible and removable in order to fit your projects needs. One side of the pads contains multiple grooves designed for flat surfaces, while the other has a wide 'V' groove to hold round objects. The standard base is 3-3/4" (95.2 mm) tall and has a 4-5/16" (109.5 mm) footprint. To secure the entire unit to a work bench or an optional base mount, the Wide Opening PanaVise features a bolt circle at the bottom of the base, with three countersunk holes for 1/4" flat head screws.
